Rando Productions fabricated the four monumental gold FIFA letters featured in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Los Angeles Opening Country Match Ceremony at SoFi Stadium. The letters were created as a major aerial scenic element for the ceremony, descending from the center of the stadium’s Oculus during the grand finale alongside music, performers and pyrotechnics. The letters were so popular they remained throughout the games.
Each letter stood approximately 16 feet 5 inches tall and nearly 3 feet 4 inches deep. Their size and weight made structural fabrication, handling, transportation and rigging critical parts of the project.
Working from the approved production drawings, Rando’s team converted the design into four full-scale scenic structures. The shop work included fabrication of the internal framework, exterior skinning, structural bracing, assembly and application of the gold finish. Individual letters were also suspended and evaluated in the shop to confirm their weight distribution, center of gravity and behavior before delivery.
Because of their size, the completed letters required custom handling methods and three flatbed truck loads for delivery to SoFi Stadium. Rando coordinated the loading, transportation and on-site staging while working within strict field-access and pitch-protection requirements.
At the stadium, the four individual letters were positioned, connected into the complete FIFA wordmark and integrated with the production’s aerial rigging system before testing and rehearsals. The original plan centered on their reveal during the opening ceremony, but the production ultimately decided to keep the letters suspended above the field through the end of the game, extending their presence beyond the ceremony itself.
The photos and videos document the complete process, including the shop build, internal construction, exterior finishing, assembly, testing, loading, transportation, stadium installation, rehearsals and the finished letters flying above the field during the live event.
